Chairperson of the Zimbabwe National War Veterans Association, Chris Mutsvangwa says MDC leader Nelson Chamisa must consider joining the Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD) if his party is serious about rebuilding the economy.
“The only institution who make someone President is the Zimbabwe Electroal Commission (ZEC). We fought for this country to enjoy one man one vote, and no outsiders including Americans can change that.
“Chamisa must stop the nonsense of seeking validation from outsiders. The European Union and the Americans must also remove the sanctions… because us as liberation war veterans are very resilient. No African country would have withstood the onslaught of Americans and their Western allies, but here we are, still going strong…” Mutsvangwa fumed.
Mutsvangwa urged Chamisa to respect the ConCourt ruling which found his election petition case weak and without basis.
The POLAD was initiated by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in May last year, and includes about seventeen leaders who participated in the 2018 general elections.
Chamisa and a few others have insisted the POLAD is not the right platform to resolve the political stalemate, and want to meet Zanu-PF leaders and the military on a different platform.
