Zimbabweans Based in Cape Town are protesting outside the Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town South Africa where Vice President Chiwenga is reportedly seeking medical attention.
Chiwenga was airlifted to South Africa on Saturday after his health had deteriorated over the past week. Demonstrations demanding that Chiwenga must be treated in his home country unstead of getting treatment in foreign countries.
Information, Media and Broadcasting Services deputy minister Energy Mutodi in an interview with 263Chat blasted the protests as attention seeking madness by ‘worthless people.’
“We know not of any planned demonstrations against the Vice President. In any case it can only be business to worthless people to try and raise a placard to an ill person at a hospital. That kind of attention seeking madness is intolerable to any reasonable persons,” Mutodi said.
