Mnangagwa to reshuffle security ministers

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is moving in to reshuffle the security ministers in his cabinet a highly placed source in the Office of the President and Cabinet has said.

Speaking to this reporter on Friday the source said, “Number 1 will be reshuffling his security Ministers amidst concerns that there is rampant indiscipline in the security forces.

From the information at our desk the cabinet reshuffle might take place during the first or second week of December all things being equal.
“The conversations that have been done so far show that Owen Mudha Ncube might be moved to the Ministry of Defence while Lovemore Matuke may become the Minister of State Security. The Home Affairs Ministry which was recently given to Ziyambi Ziyambi may be moved to Larry Mavhima.

“The current Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri might be moved to the ZANU PF Headquaters to become a fulltime staffer there. The issue is that Obert Mpofu is current the Senior person at the HQ and he is not being trusted by the Mnangagwa people.
“Energy Mutodi might be moved to be a minister in the Office of the Vice President Chiwenga.”

An online publication Zimmorning Post has reported that Brigadier General George Chisvo was on Tuesday abandoned by his official driver while in the Eastern border town of Mutare where he commands 3 Brigade.

The driver disappeared into neighbouring Mozambique without the knowledge of his superior, Chisvo.
The army driver is said to have later called his commander, informing him that he was now in Mozambique, adding that he would no longer return to Zimbabwe.

He is also said to have told Chisvo to make up for the military’s loss by processing his pension.
